‘À TOUS CEUX QUI SONT TOMBÉS’ BY LAVINIA RACCANELLO NOMINATED FOR RÉVÉLATION JEUNES TALENTS LIVRE D’ARTISTE – ADAGP

ADAGP, the society of authors in visual and graphic art, launches the 1st edition of the prize ‘Révélation Jeunes Talents Livre d’Artiste’ [Revelation of young talents art books].The goal is to promote and reveal the current creation in this artistic discipline.
Endowed with 5,000.- €and co-chaired by Hervé Di Rosa and Meret Meyer, this Prize rewards an artist presented at the second edition of MAD. The winner will be announced at the opening night of MAD, on September 29 at 18:30.

During two residencies at Arc, Italian artist Lavinia Raccanello worked on her publication À tous ceux qui sont tombés [To all those who have fallen].

This small booklet is a compilation of texts on the subject of anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti, drawn from the archives of Cira (the International Centre for Research on Anarchism, Lausanne). It gradually effaces the celebrated woodcut of Alexandre Mairet (1880¬–1947) depicting the two revolutionaries, which adorned the cover of the 743rd edition of bi-lingual publication Le Réveil Anarchiste / Il Risveglio Anarchico in 1928.Set in 8 and 9 point Tiina, 150 copies have been printed by La Buona Stampa in Pregassona.
